I don’t need to say how important it is that we all turn out to vote and that independents need to be persuaded to vote. With all our high-rises, there is turnover, so many residents are not correctly registered with a new address, etc.
I plan to walk with my sandwich sign with the QR code at the Farmers Market.
Here is information sent by Oak Park Village Clerk Christina M. Waters:
Tuesday, Oct. 6
Voter registration closes for deputy registrars and local election officials.
After this date, voters will no longer be able to register in person with the Office of the Village Clerk in Oak Park. However, we will still be available to assist residents with online voter registration.
Wednesday, Oct. 7 – Monday, Nov. 2
Grace period registration and voting.
During this time, voters may register and vote with election judges.
Sunday, Oct. 18
Online voter registration closes.
Monday, Oct. 19 – Monday, Nov. 2
Early Voting period.
Thursday, Oct. 29
Last day to apply for a Vote by Mail ballot.
Please feel free to respond directly with election-related inquiries. The Office of the Village Clerk is always available to provide guidance, support, and resources to both voters and staff throughout the election season. The Cook County Clerk’s website is also phenomenal resource.
