The Wednesday Journal sent questionnaires to each person running for public office in 2025. The Journal’s questions are in bold and the candidate’s responses are below.

Political experience
Served one term as village clerk
Community experience
I’ve worked for the community since I was 15 years old. I began at the Oak Park Arms, continued working with the community through my years at the Park District of Oak Park, and worked as a Village employee from August 2017 until becoming an elected official in 2021. When I began college, I focused on Early Childhood Development, which led me to work at the Oak Park and River Forest Day Nursery, then later at ABC Toon Town Educational Center. Throughout my career, I discovered my purpose is to serve and work for the community, and I found my niche here, at home, in Oak Park, IL.
How will you continue to support voter engagement in Oak Park?
My role as the local election official not only requires me to make voting and voter registration accessible, but it also requires that I make voter information and education readily available to everyone.
As village clerk, what is something you would like to see change or improve in local government?
Increased accessibility and engagement of our youth, aging population, new residents, and those who don’t feel engaged yet want to be.
How will you continue to engage young people in local government and civil service?
I will continue collaborating with students, families, and organizations serving our youth.
