The Illinois Municipal League (IML) elected new officers and members to the Board of Directors, including
River Forest Village President Catherine Adduci, at its 104th Annual Conference, held September 21-23 at the Hilton
Chicago and attended by more than 2,000 local elected and appointed officials.
On Saturday, September 23, 2017, the IML membership unanimously elected Belleville Mayor Mark W. Eckert to serve a one-year term as president. Also elected during the conference were Mayor Michael J. Inman of Macomb as First Vice President and Mayor Leon Rockingham, Jr. of North Chicago, as Second Vice President.
In addition to the officers, 36 Vice Presidents were elected to serve a one-year term on the statewide organization’s
Board of Directors.
“Through my role on the IML board, I will collaborate with mayors from around the state on the issues that affect all of our communities,” said River Forest President Adduci. “I am excited to exchange ideas and share solutions as we
advocate for local government at the state and federal level.”
About Village President, Catherine M. Adduci
River Forest President, Catherine Adduci has an extensive resume blending elected public service, civic engagement, and a distinguished career at Unisys Corporation, a fortune 500 company.
President Adduci, a long-time resident of the Village of River Forest, is currently serving her second
term as Village President. Cathy served as Trustee from 2009 to 2013 and Clerk from 2007 to 2009.
She is on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Municipal League and serves on the executive and
legislative committee. Cathy is currently serving as the President of the West Central Municipal
Conference and also serves on the executive and legislative committees. In 2014, she received the
Mayor of the Year award from the Illinois Crime Commission for making a difference in the Village of
Cathy is a retired vice president and senior executive for Unisys Corporation, an international
technology firm, where she worked for 32 years. Her senior executive expertise includes marketing
and sales management, general management and operations, finance and human professional
development. She traveled throughout the world wherever Unisys did business. She is now
President and founder of CMA Associates, Inc., a company helping non-profit organizations formulate their information technology strategies.
Ms. Adduci also serves on the boards of professional, community, and civic groups, most notably the Belmont Bank and Trust Company, Thrive Counseling Center, and the Erikson Institute, a graduate school focusing on early childhood development. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Cathy is on the advisory board of that institution’s College of Business, and from 2001 to 2004 served on the University’s Board of Trustees. Cathy also holds an MBA in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago.
Cathy has contributed to many local charitable organizations and she received the Outstanding Citizens Award from
Amity for her community engagement. Her daughter, Jenna Ronan, is a Senior at Loyola University of Chicago.
