Oak Park and River Forest High School junior Chena Underhill  won pole vault (meet-record 11 feet, 5 inches) and the 100-meter high hurdles (16.03 seconds) with lifetime-best performances and the 300 low hurdles (48.68) at Hinsdale Central’s 25th annual Devilette Invitational on April 18. She also was second in triple jump with a lifetime-best 34-11 1/2, just one-half inch from the winning distance.

Underhill’s pole vault height broke the meet record of 11-4 set by OPRF’s McKenzee Kroshel in 2012. Underhill’s previous best was 10-6. She received the Athlete of the Meet award.

OPRF also swept titles in the 400 relay (Komiyah Martin, Myia Jones, Brianna Holloway, Norma Abdur-Rafia in 49.61), the 800 relay (Martin, Jones, Ella Rossa, Vanessa Griffin in 1:47.12) and the 1,600 relay (Griffin, Chisolm Nwoko, Jones, Abdur-Rafia in 4:06.89).

The Huskies (132 points) finished a strong second to Hinsdale Central (151) after winning the 2014 title.
