The Village of Oak Park put its emergency snow parking in ban into effect Friday morning, requiring residents to deposit their vehicles off of major streets.
The ban was put into place at 8 a.m. this morning, according to the village’s website. With that, cars are prohibited from parking on all major thoroughfares designated as “snow routes,” or risk a $100 fine. Meanwhile, side streets follow the odd-even rule, where cars can only park on the odd-numbered side of the street on odd-numbered days (such as today), and vice-versa.
