Hello Wednesday Journal readers! Today is Election Day. If you haven’t already voted, we hope you’ll make your way to the polls. We’ll be here throughout the evening, monitoring results and reporting them as they come in.

This is the kind of local journalism we work to deliver every day to keep you and your neighbors in Oak Park and River Forest informed.

We’ve just launched our year-end fundraising campaign, and your support makes this work possible.

Will you help us keep delivering the local news our community depends on?

The polls are open until 7 p.m. tonight if you haven’t already cast your ballot! Check out our Wednesday Journal guide to Election Night to learn more on how you can vote!

I will be covering the 7th district congressional race with my colleague Jessica Mordacq live from Rep. La Shaw Ford’s campaign watch party on the South Side. He is currently predicted to win over Republican candidate Chad Koppie and independent write-in Lien Choi.

Gregg Voss will be stationed in Oak Park to cover results from the advisory referendum on if Illinois should repeal laws restricting state investment in businesses boycotting Israel. Voss has covered this sometimes contentious question every step of the way as both sides advocate for their position.

Follow along on social media and our website for updates this evening!
