
William R. “Monz” Monaco, 69, a longtime resident of Oak Park, died on June 14, 2026. Born on June 19, 1956, he was heavily involved in the community through his support and coaching of Oak Park Youth Sports (football, baseball and softball), Windmills and Fenwick High School (football and softball). “Monz” had a long career as an Options Trader working with many great friends. He was an avid Chicago sports fan and loved adopting the college teams of those he loved.
Bill was the husband of Terri (nee Mueller); the father of Courtney (John) Valleau and Patrick Monaco; the grandfather of Brooke and Hailey; the brother of Jane Monaco, Joseph Monaco, Robert (late Carol) Monaco and the late Thomas (Jane) Monaco; and the uncle of many.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, at Ascension Church, 808 S. East Ave., Oak Park from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Interment private.
