Roberta “Bobbi” Davis-Santo, 84, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 10, 2026 after a brief but sudden illness. Born on Jan. 27, 1942, Bobbi believed that everyone deserved to be seen and heard. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel important. She was vibrant, funny, artistic, adventurous, generous, nurturing, and fiercely independent.

In the final years of her life, she found a special purpose at The American House in Oak Park, where she created and led a discussion group called Chatter Matters every Tuesday and Thursday evening. She wanted people her age to know that their voices still mattered and that their stories deserved to be told. She had a way of bringing people together.

She loved making jewelry and sharing her creations. She had an adventurous heart and a passion for travel. She could be wonderfully stubborn, her determination matched by her generosity and compassion.

Bobbi was the daughter of Henry and Catherine Meier; the mother of Mimi, Kate (Bob), and Joe (Dina); the grandmother of Chloe, Quinton, Abby, and Bella; the step-grandmother of Cole; and the aunt and godmother of Kelly.

Bobbi’s family will carry forward her example: to listen well, love generously, welcome others warmly, and make sure everyone feels seen and heard.

A visitation will be held on June 18 at 10 a.m. at Ascension Catholic Church, 808 S. East Ave., Oak Park, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Following Mass, a procession will travel to All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines for interment.

Family and friends are then invited to celebrate Bobbi’s life at The American House, 703 Madison St., Oak Park, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the 7th Floor Bistro Café.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Red Nose Day in support of children living in poverty. Contributions may be made at https://rednoseday.org.
