A cement truck fatally struck a woman near the Oak Park Fire Department this morning on Euclid Avenue, according to the Village of Oak Park.

Around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, a 71-year-old woman was struck as she was crossing the street at the corner of North Boulevard and Euclid Avenue. She was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in critical condition where she was later pronounced dead.

Euclid Avenue remains closed for investigation between Lake Street and South Boulevard.
