You can — at Oak Park Climate Action Network’s 2026 Clean Energy Open House on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. Walk through two fully electrified homes and check out the sustainability upgrades that make them healthier, safer, fossil-fuel-free, and more energy independent. Ask the homeowners about their experience and meet the contractors they worked with.
These typical vintage houses, both featured in OPCAN’s 2025 Clean Energy Open House, showcase two different approaches to home electrification: one was electrified as part of a gut rehab, the other gradually, spreading costs over several years.
