Below is a copy of an email I sent to The Oak Park Village Board and each trustee individually:

As a representative board, I thought you would like to hear from a household you represent. We are not in favor of the village board eliminating single-family zoning. At a minimum, a change of this magnitude requires a referendum of the taxpaying stakeholders. This issue is too important and the ramifications too high for the board to vote on it solely.

I believe your intentions are good, but this is not the way to achieve your goals. Put this issue out to a referendum to understand what the people you represent really want. Thank you for your service.
