Police arrested an Oak Park man on several felony counts in connection with a reported attack on a Chicago resident. 

Oak Park police arrested a 36-year-old Oak Park man the morning of Saturday, Dec. 20 on two counts of battery and two counts of aggravated assault in connection with a reported attack that occurred in the 100 block of North Harlem Avenue, according to police. Police later discovered that the man had two active Cook County warrants for theft and criminal trespass to a vehicle, according to police. 

The man is currently in Cook County custody, appearing in court in Maywood for the first time on Dec. 23, according to county records. 

DUI arrest 

Oak Park police arrested a Chicago man for driving under the influence in the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 21, according to police. 

Police stopped and arrested the 43-year-old man when he was found to have been driving under the influence in the 1100 block of Ridgeland Avenue just after 5:40 a.m. Sunday, according to police. The man was later released from Oak Park custody with a notice to appear in court, according to police  

These items were obtained from Oak Park’s Police Department reports dated Dec. 15– Dec. 22 and represent a portion of the incidents to which police responded. Anyone named in these reports has only been charged with a crime and cases have not yet been adjudicated. We report the race of a suspect only when a serious crime has been committed, the suspect is still at large, and police have provided us with a detailed description of the suspect as they seek the public’s help in making an arrest.
