“Life gets hard sometimes, and this was my first time coming to a food pantry. I work really hard to provide for myself, and I’ve always said pantries are for the ones who need it. But today, I was one of the ones who needed it—and everyone made me feel so welcome. They greeted me with a smile and loaded me up really good. They gave me everything I was thinking I needed for a peaceful dinner. God is all over this place.”
That welcoming spirit—and the variety of fresh produce, grains, and other nutritious foods they received—offered both comfort and strength to keep moving forward.
