30th annual Oak Park and River Forest Garden Walk

The 30th annual Garden Walk is a self-guided tour of eight unique private gardens. Advance online tickets are $18 until Saturday, June 22 at 5 p.m. On the day of, all tickets are $23 (cash, credit, debit or check). Children 12 and under are free. โThe Girl Who Wore Freedomโ
Wednesday, June 5, 1 and 6 p.m., Lake Theatre
Classic Cinemas celebrates veterans on D-Day by showing the award-winning documentary, The Girl Who Wore Freedom, at Classic Cinemasโ Lake Theatre in Oak Park, which shares untold stories of D-Day from the men, women, and children who lived through German occupation and Allied liberation of Normandy, France and highlights the undying love and respect that the French continue to have for the American veterans who risked so much to save them. A portion of the box office proceeds will be going to local veterans organizations.
