Since 1985, Holy Family Ministries (HFM) has strengthened communities by empowering and equipping children and youth for success in school and life. HFM’s mission is to provide opportunities for children, youth, and families from Chicago’s under-resourced neighborhoods to excel academically, grow spiritually, expand life experiences, and become exceptional leaders through a faith-based approach.

Holy Family School (HFS) serves 250 students in kindergarten through 8th grade annually from the North Lawndale, Garfield Park, Humboldt Park, and Austin neighborhoods. We believe that when children are challenged academically and encouraged to believe in themselves, their futures become limitless. For the last nine years, 100% of our 8th grade graduates have been accepted into high-performing private, charter, and public high schools.

Our program center is located on the historic Homan Square campus, and is home to four programs serving nearly 600 children annually from Chicago’s west side. Holy Family School, serving students in grades K-8; Little Learners Academy, an early childhood education and development program; Adventures in Learning afterschool and summer program; and the Peace Exchange, youth peace education and nonviolence-training program.
