Joseph Bonfield, 70, died on May 31, 2022. Born in Oak Park to parents Peggy and Edward Bonfield on Sept. 17, 1951. He attended Ascension and St. Giles and graduated from Fenwick High School, where he ran cross country. He was a Teamster and truck driver who ran routes in the city and suburbs for 20 years. A drummer and avid record collector, he was especially passionate about music. The world was blessed with a kind, funny, authentic and cool human being.
Joey Bonfield is survived by his siblings, Eddie, Sally, Peggy, Michael, Katie, and Tom; his nieces and nephews, Adam, Erin, Molly, Heidi, Claire, Jim, Sean, Colin, Robert, and Michael; and his many friends, including Maureen, Timothy, Eileen, Jenny D., Jenny M., Carlisa, Kirk, Debra Lee, the Koch family, the Prine family, and the Asproyerakas family.

A memorial for Joe will be held at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home (7319 Madison St., Forest Park) on Saturday, July 16 from 2 to 5 p.m.
