When it came to selecting a university to continue her stellar cross-country/track and field career, Oak Park and River Forest High School senior Josephine Welin had one thing in mind: comfort.
“I really loved the campus and felt I would be happiest and most successful there,” she said after signing her letter of intent with the University of Washington during a Signing Day ceremony held in the OPRF board room Nov. 16.
Welin was among seven Huskie senior student-athletes to sign their letters of intent to play collegiately. Here is the complete list:
