Kathleen Lightfoot

Kathleen Florence Hartley Lightfoot, 66, of River Forest, died suddenly on March 9, 2021. She graduated from St. Angela School (1968), Siena High School (1972), Wright Junior College (1974) and Northeastern Illinois University (1978). She served the clients and partners of Shea, Paige and Rogal law firm for over 30 years. Her advocacy for animals was the basis for an Illinois law regulating trainers’ methods. She enjoyed playing her guitar, planting and nurturing pansies, and creating miniature rooms.  

She was the daughter of the late John T. and Mary L. (nee Ward) Hartley; the wife of the late Fred W. Lightfoot; sister of John M. and Robert (Mary) Hartley and Mary (Larry) Price; aunt of David, Jack and Gracie Hartley; cousin of Bill (Patty), Jim, Joe and Michael Cox, Peg (Dennis) Gaffke, and the late Julie DiCarlo; sister-in-law of Cy and Shirley Lightfoot; and friends in the Sage family, classmates, and co-workers.  

Donations in Kathy’s memory can be made to the donor’s choice. “Remember the Best Times, the Laughter, the Song, and the Good Life I Lived while I was Strong.” (Little Red Bird).

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.  

Peterson-Bassi Chapels is assisting the family with arrangements.
