I was walking my laps in Mills Park last week when this happened:

A boy, about 8 or 9, approached me and told me to stop. He was carrying a long stick. He pointed the stick at me and asked me what I was doing and where I was going. I told him I was taking my walk. He said “You got COVID?” I said I didn’t. He said I could pass. Then his friend, also carrying a big stick, called out to a man who was working on the building roof: “Hey, you up there! What are you doing? You got COVID?” The man called down that he didn’t.

Today’s version of “cops and robbers.”
