Oak Park Public Health Director Mike Charley announced on May 9 that four more residents have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the village of Oak Park’s number of cases to 216. The individuals in these cases range in age from their 20s to their 80s.

On May 9, Charley reported that four residents tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals in those cases ranged in age from their 30s to 40s.

The village cannot release further information regarding any of the cases due to privacy laws. However, as with the previously reported cases, it also released the following announcement:

“The Oak Park Department of Public Health is working closely with officials from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), investigating and notifying anyone who may have had exposure to the individual who tested positive for COVID-19. Local public health officials, hospitals and first responders are following protocols consistent with the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”
