Since 2011, Mediterranean main-stay, Autre Monde, has been been turning out near-perfect plates of savory pasta, crispy house-made flatbreads, and diminutive pintxos. “We were one of the first restaurants to come out to the burbs and do something city-style;” says Autre Monde Operating Partner, Christine Tully Aranza.
On February 8th, Time Out, the leading global media and entertainment brand that inspires and enables people to make the most of the city, announced Autre Monde had been named as a recipient of a Time Out Recommended Award 2017. The recognition celebrates Time Out editors’ belief Autre Monde is a standout among Chigaoland restaurants for offering consistently high-quality dining experiences.
“This recognition is a wonderful nod to the quality of food, drink and hospitality that we strive to bring to our guests every day” says Aranza, proudly.
Earlier in 2017, Autre Monde, was recognized by Time Out as one of Chicago’s best Italian restaurants and consistently holds a notable four-star review on the site. Aranza is particularly grateful for the inclusion of her suburban eatery in Time Out’s wider market because Time Out seeks to give outstanding restaurants the recognition they deserve and boost business in the process.
Long time Autre Monde regular, Adele M. Morrison of Oak Park, is not surprised by the most recent Time Out recognition. “Chefs Partridge and Pancake know how to take chances, but won’t sacrifice menu favorites for the sake of change;” says Morrison, “your steak and potato lovers and your vegetarian friends can all find something to eat at Autre Monde.”
