Members of the group have created an inspiring assortment of women to engage in conversations and share ideas with other women leaders who have made a difference. Members learn about special opportunities to carry out local philanthropic impact and philanthropic education to the next generation of women leaders.
The mission of the Women Leaders in Philanthropy is to inspire, educate and respond to the needs of the community through philanthropy. Their vision is to empower, cultivate, and recognize women as philanthropic leaders and volunteers within our communities. Goals of the group are to support the charitable causes of the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation by: enhancing philanthropy, supporting nonprofits, meaningful collaboration, reinforcing bonds and social networking, and philanthropic education for the next generation of women leaders.
