On Saturday, June 20, the Moonlit Masquerade Ball was held at the Historic Pleasant Home. It was this summer’s June Revel gala event, which also marked the 25th Anniversary of the Pleasant Home Foundation. The foundation operates and helps restore the Pleasant Home in Mills Park. The 1897 Arts and Crafts mansion is owned by the Park District of Oak Park and is now designated as an important National Historic Landmark.
The Masquerade Ball evening was nothing short of brilliant, a perfect pairing of sublime vision and historic venue. The beautiful gowns, stunning masks, decor, music, dancers, catering, and all of the guests flowing through the interiors, porches and lawns were magical.
All seventy five guests in attendance were so happy and it was an exquisite evening to remember! Thank you so much to PHF Development Committee Chair Barbara Gordon, Executive Director Heidi Ruehle-May, Event Coordinator Sarah Najera, Volunteer & Tour Coordinator Elissa Ledvort, Event Assistant Alice Kloska and PHF Board President Douglas Gilbert. Also, a big thanks to the many guests, docents, volunteers, and the PHF board.
