The District 97 Board of Education, administration and Oak Park Teacher’s Association will continue contract negotiations into the summer.
The sides have identified and plan to finalize those meetings dates, says D97 spokesperson Chris Jasculca. The closed-session talks began in January. The district announced last month that contract talks would continue into the summer. The parties are negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement for teachers as the current 5-year deal is set to expire June 30.Â
