We were thrilled to learn how Aurora and surrounding suburbs have transformed communities through community journalism and outreach. Guest speaker Sherman Jenkins, creator of “Tell Me Somethin’ Good” discussed how those areas were able to improve their economies. “Tell Me Somethin’ Good” (TMSG) is a digital publication designed to cover positive news about African American life outside the City of Chicago.
 
The event was held at the University of Phoenix’s Downtown Chicago Learning Center.
