Ok, HOLD on — I have just found shopping Nirvana. Seriously, if any of you lovely readers mourned the loss of Ananas, the soulful shop on OP Blvd, we have Kim back, and better than ever!
The latest women’s clothing venture from Kim Shimkus, Manouche. The boutique, which means ‘Gypsy’ just opened in Forest Park in August; a cleverly co-mingled space with Jeanine A. Guncheon’s Galleries Etc. Jeanine has remodeled the entire space to make room for Manouche boutique in front, and has nestled her gorgeous home goods & art effects at the back.
A mindful collection for women, Manouche celebrates the beautifully crafted and well designed. Every item is exclusively picked for its beauty and for its origins such as handmade garments, organic pieces and clothing that comes from manufacturers who support fair labor practices.
Well curated, the selection of garments are perfect for Fall: including light outer-wear, tweed jackets & shealring sweater-coats. Unique jewelry from local artisans are on hand, cozy scarves & felt fedoras, recycled leather jackets turned into handbags!
Every piece tells a story; Manouche encourages us to find ours.
