The White Sox Bullfrogs defeated the White Sox Piranhas 11-10 in Game 3 of a thrilling three-game series on June 28th at Maple Park to win the Oak Park Youth Baseball & Softball T-Ball championship.  With the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, Weston Kirk provided the clutch hit, driving home Jimmy Degnan and Charlie Newman to secure the Game 3 victory and coveted title for the Bullfrogs.

Led by twin brothers Elias and Julian Hachem, the Piranhas took a bite out of the Bullfrogs with a 17-14 win in the series opener. The Piranhas withstood a spirited sixth inning rally by the Bullfrogs. The Bullfrogs jumped off the deck in Game 2 and netted a 10-2 victory with outstanding team defense and timely hitting from Jackson Solberg, Kellen Billadeau, Max Lofgren, and Jack Watters.

Entering the top of the sixth in Game 3 and the score tied 9-9, the Bullfrogs’ Michael Nelligan, Jimmy Ponicki, Owen Lerner, and Toby Yang provided plenty of excitement with great defense to limit the Piranhas’ catch to one run.  The Bullfrogs reeled home the winning run on their last cast to land the 2013 OPYBS Village T-Ball Championship Trophy!
