Chip is a spunky small/medium sized guy who is looking for an active home where he can get the love, attention and obedience he missed out on in his first home. Chip was transferred to the Animal Care League from a Chicagoland animal control facility.
He wasn’t in great shape when he first arrived. Our vet saw injuries consistent with someone trying to castrate him…but he’s ready to go now!
Chip is smart and knows a few of his commands, his foster mom reports he’s completely housebroken and he promises to spice up the life of his new owner. He does bark indoors when he hears people outside so an apartment or condo probably wouldn’t be an ideal place for Chip.
He would make a great running companion or just all around good play pal. Because Chip is afraid of some strangers, he is recommended for homes with children over the age of 16. His new owner will have to manage this behavior and work with him to overcome his fears. Since he is much happier in his foster home, Chip can be seen at Animal Care League by appointment. If you would like to visit this playful fellow, call 708-848-8155 for more information or to schedule an appointment to visit Chip.
