Please join the Oak Park Women’s Guild (OPWG) as they host a benefit at the Lake theatre to honor community member Bill Figatner and his family. Bill was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in March of 2011 but sadly passed away on Dec. 29. OPWG is presenting a special screening of the family-friendly film “How to Train Your Dragon” (PG). This benefit at the Lake Theatre, located at 1022 Lake Street in downtown Oak Park, will take place on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 am. Tickets for $5 per person will be available at the Lake Theatre box office, with children under two years old admitted for free.
All of the proceeds will go to support Bill’s family. To make a donation online, please visit www.oakparkwomensguild.org. Everyone is welcome to invite friends and family to help support this family in need.
“How to Train Your Dragon” (2010) tells the story of a hapless young Viking named Hiccup, who aspires to hunt dragons and becomes the unlikely friend of a young dragon. Hiccup learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed.
