Two state elected officials are hosting a meeting in Oak Park next month, hoping to gather ideas from residents on the future of Illinois.

The “town hall” meeting will be hosted by Rep. Camille Lilly and Sen. Don Harmon, and is slated for 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at Unity Temple, 875 Lake St.

Local educators, elected officials and members of area organizations have been invited to the event, and all will be asked to share their ideas and priorities for the state, according to a press release.
