Oak Parkers have heard of Frank Lloyd Wright’s temples, single-family homes, and even gas stations. But apparently, Wright designed hotels, too, and not just in Tokyo.

According to the real estate website Curbed.com, Wright designed six hotels during his career, five of which were built. Only one remains intact today, according to the site, and that’s the Park Inn Hotel in Mason City, Iowa.

Curbed reports that after years of sitting in disrepair and remaining empty for a spell until last year, a nonprofit has spent $18 million to restore the old hotel. They plan to reopen the Park Inn for its original intended use on Sept. 5, and one of the 27 rooms there was even restored to its original 1910 appearance.
