There is another referendum on the ballot Oak Parkers will see on April 5. So after you vote the school tax hike up or down, take a look at the oddly worded Community Choice Aggregation question.

Basically a yes vote authorizes the Oak Park village government to bundle the residential and small business electric service accounts in an attempt to leverage a better deal on pricing and, perhaps, environmental values. Don’t worry, first the village would have to negotiate a better deal from an electricity supplier. And then any individual or business can opt out of the program and stick with good old Exelon.

We support this initiative and urge your vote.
