My name is Ron Scott. You have written articles that featured my oldest son, Evan, who played football and ran track at OPRF and is now a junior on University of Missouri’s track team, and currently Camille Scott on the OPRF girls’ basketball team.
I just wanted to thank you and the Wednesday Journal for your reporting on the OPRF girls’ basketball team this year. They really worked hard this year and came pretty close to a 20-win season.
I also want to thank you on behalf of the Scott family. You have provided us with some good memorabilia for both kids’ accomplishments. Particularly cool was the caption “Great Scott” that was used in an article featuring Camille this year, and Evan in 2007. We will enjoy the pictures and the articles for years to come.
The sad part is that the season is over. Though Camille has some small college basketball opportunities (Washington University in St. Louis), as a National Achievement Scholar her “larger” opportunities may be in the classroom at the collegiate level (waiting to hear from Harvard and Brown). The good news is I’ll have two more Huskies in a couple of years. I have two kids at Brooks! The future looks bright. Thanks for the memories.
