Local voters hoping to get ahead of the curve for the Nov. 2 election have until Oct. 28 to cast an early ballot.

Early voting got underway in Oak Park last week, with the lone local spot being at Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison St. More than 40 sites are available for Cook County residents to cast their ballot.

Voters don’t need an excuse to go early, but they do need to be registered and must present a government-issued photo ID. Early voting is available Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
