The 4th Turtle’s Run 5K and 1 mile walk was held on Sunday morning, July 9, at Oak Park and River Forest High School. The Turtle’s Run coordinators would like to acknowledge and thank all the participants and volunteers for making this a successful event. It seemed as if everyone had a great time. The event allowed us to raise a considerable amount of money for the Kevin Bolin-John Cooper Scholarship Fund.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the homeowners, neighbors, and motorists along the race and walk routes for their patience and understanding as we momentarily disrupted their normal Sunday morning routine. Thank you for your cooperation.
We also want to thank the Village of Oak Park special events staff, the OPRF High School facilities staff, and the coaches and players from the OPRF hockey and football teams for their help and support.
