The Oak Park village board is on the verge of losing all credibility. Some would say they have already lost all credibility, but I would disagree with those people for the moment. The board has made some pretty egregious mistakes, but they can gain some credibility on Dec. 5 by voting to accept the Oak Park Plan Commission’s recommendation to deny Sertus Capital Partner’s the ability to build a 20-story apartment skyscraper at the corner of Forest and Lake.
