Lake Theatre, 1022 Lake, has just announced the winner of Classic Cinemas annual “Predict the Oscars” contest. Oak Park resident Gail Grandkowski received a one-year movie pass and a pair of tickets to the Brookfield Zoo.
Grandkowski’s winning ballot was picked from a handful of correct ballots entered at the Lake Theatre. Remaining entries with correct ballots will receive a pair of movie passes to any Classic Cinemas location and a pair of tickets to the Brookfield Zoo.
This year, 5,605 ballots were cast in Classic Cinemas Oscar contest. A winning ballot meant correctly predicting the Oscar winners in seven categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Animated Film.
