Oak Park and River Forest Huskie Community,

I am writing to ask all members of the “Huskie Community” who haven’t already done so to register their volunteer/service hours as a part of the OPRF High School 150th Sesquicentennial Challenge. The goal is to log 150,000 hours of community service to demonstrate the impact students, parents, staff, community members and alumni (the Huskie Community) have on the world in which we live.

There are many Huskies doing great things, such as Hephzibah House, Beyond Hunger, Housing Forward, Empty Bowls, Students in Service, Rotary Club, religious educators, village government, school boards, Art League, OPRF Museum. I am sure there are many more activities in which you participate that I don’t know about.

The Sesquicentennial Challenge is nearing the 1/3 mark (50,000 hours) with only 500 registrants, so we know many of you haven’t “told us your story.” So please register your hours of service at oprfhs.org/OPRF150 and encourage a friend, family members, and neighbors to register their hours as well.

Together, we can show that the Huskie community makes a difference in our world.
