Your Chamber of Commerce is busier than ever and we love it. We are embracing the “new normal” (whatever that really is!) ) and there is so much to be grateful for! New restaurants and businesses are opening throughout our community. We are seeing the return of street festivals and block parties. We are all coming out of hiding and the business community is here to welcome you.

After the last few years, health and wellness are priorities for the Chamber and our entire community. The success of our 6th annual Health and Wellness Fair hosted by FFC-Oak Park is living proof. Over 65 vendors engaged with hundreds of guests to discuss how to live one’s best life to the fullest. We also helped to reconnect our local entrepreneurs at our Speed Networking event at Concordia University.

The OPRF Chamber has also had many “firsts” to celebrate this year. We have the “youngest, gayest, Blackest, Chamber president” in our over 100 year history. We started our sixth Affinity Group for BIPOC members of the community, and we opened June with launching a Pride Marketing 101 and LGBTQ+ resources guide. Our membership is growing steadily through our amazing partnerships with the Villages of Oak Park and River Forest to work with licensed businesses. And the list continues to grow!

We both know that we could not do any of what we do without the incredible support of the OPRF community. Our commitment to staying and supporting local is the cornerstone of our business recovery. So get out and enjoy what is in your own backyard! Your local business owners are your neighbors, your friends and your family. Supporting them is supporting you. So spread the love and keep us thriving! #chamberLOVE
