Frederick J. Schaal, 82, of Oak Park and River Forest, died on Jan. 30, 2021. Born on Oct. 9, 1938, he was the former husband of Mary Grace; the father of James, David, Amanda (Darren) Alman, Charles, and Adam (Lindsay) Schaal; the grandfather of Jonathan, Susanna, Lacey, and Victoria Alman, and Noelle and Dominic Schaal; the brother of John Eric (Susan) Schaal, Susan (David) McCloskey, Martha Joyce, and the late Carolyn Schaal; and the uncle and great-uncle of many.
Services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Ascension Church, followed by private interment.
Arrangements were handled by Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home.
