Marguerite (“Peggi”) Claire Rohlfing, 62, a resident of Oak Park and River Forest for over 50 years, died on Dec. 11, 2020 after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. Born in Berwyn on Oct. 20, 1958 to the late Jermane and Patricia (nee Marcotte) Steinhauer, she graduated from St. Luke Elementary School in River Forest, Immaculate Heart of Mary High School in Westchester, and later earned her degree in Communications from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
Peggi is survived by her children, Megan (Erik) McMahon, Timothy, Erin and Lauren Rohlfing; her siblings, Mary Kaye (Keith) Depperschmidt, Martin, Patricia (Andrew) Myjak and Daniel Steinhauer; and she was the aunt and great aunt of many.
A private funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Giles Church in Oak Park, followed by private interment at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (st.jude.org) are appreciated.
