Willard “Bill” Moonan, 86, of Oak Park, dued from complications of COVID-19 on Dec. 8, 2020.
After serving in the U.S. Army, he attended the University of Minnesota and earned a master’s degree in both Educational Psychology and Library Science. He was employed as a librarian at Illinois State University, Milner Library for 27 years. While there he became a professor, headed the psychology section, and wrote an annotated bibliography of Martin Buber.
The family would like to thank the staff of Presence Villa Scalabrini Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northlake for their devoted care during the last weeks of his life.
Bill is survived by Nancy, his wife of 33 years. He was loved by his “children,” Kamala Nagaraj and her husband James Francis, Kailas Nagaraj and his daughter, Leena, and Asha Nagaraj. In addition, he is survived by a daughter and son and their children from a former marriage.
