Gerald D. “Jerry” Fitzpatrick, 86, a longtime resident of Oak Park, died on Sept. 19, 2020. Born on Feb. 1, 1934, he coached Oak Park Youth Baseball for many years.
Jerry was the husband of Mary Anne, nee Cormack; the father of Mary (David) Howorth, Gerald “Jerry” Jr. and John (Deborah) Fitzpatrick; Papa to James and Hannah Howorth; brother of Mary (the late Robert Zablock and the late William McCartney) Zablock, Joan (the late William) Cwinski, the late Jack, the late William (Elaine) and the late Thomas “Brother Brian” Fitzpatrick, O.S.M.; friend of Bill W.; and uncle and friend of many.Â
Family and friends will be received at Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Road, Westchester on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020 from 2 to 7 p.m.Â
A private funeral mass will be held at St. Giles Church, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.Â
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Chicago Chapter of AA are appreciated.Â
