Shirley M. Rentner, 88, a resident of Oak Park for over 65 years, died on Sept. 2, 2020. Born in Oak Park on Aug. 3, 1932 to the late George and Bessie Hackl, she married Robert R. Rentner in 1952. She loved cooking, sewing and spending time with her husband and family.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 68 years; her children, Bob (Terry), Sue, Tom (Chris) Rentner, and Cathy (Phil) Barry; her grandchildren, Shawn, Christopher, Heather, Colleen, Alexandra, and Ellen; and her great-grandchildren, Emma, Eli, and Katleyn. She is also survived by her sister, Lois (Bernie) Wierenga, and her brother, Leslie (Marge) Hackl.
Interment is private.
