On Monday, May 28 at 9am, come to the Annual Oak Park Memorial Day Commemoration in Scoville Park, Oak Park Avenue and Lake Street. Â To honor the 150th anniversay of the Civil War, U.S. Arrmy Veteran, Brian Flora, who served in Vietnam from 1969 – 1972 and his wife, Kay Kuhlman will represent an Oak Park Union soldier who fought at Shiloh. Â A color guard and a gun salute will be held in honor and rememberance. Â
On a much lighter “note”, sample the attached video and then come back to the park on Tuesday, May 29 at 6pm for the OPRFHS Jazz Concert. Â You’re invited to bring your blankets, picnic food, and hear some very talented musicians. Â Note, that this concert is Free except if weather causes a problem and then it will be moved to the high school. Â If so, tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
