Certainly Horrorbles, located at 6729 W. Roosevelt in Berwyn, is around for us all year long, but at this time of year I feel like they have cornered the market on all things gore that can get me through the Halloween Season. The collectibles range from Bride of Frankenstein bobble heads to more pricey signed vintage memorabilia. If you are having a Halloween Party – you’d be able to find any number of posters to place on your walls.
Each year around Halloween I add a new t-shirt to my wardrobe from their huge t-shirt selection. And admittedly, I must have been overwhelmed by my t-shirt choices over the years.
I had never ventured downstairs.
There is a whole movie theater down there! When I stopped in this last Friday, a psychic was doing Tarot Card Readings in the basement room (something I’m going to keep my eyes open for in the future). An added bonus: Horrorbles will let you rent out that basement room for a party!
I have to recommend that you stop in and visit. Maybe attend a movie viewing. Their facebook page suggests calling first – there are only 16 seats. And movies are free if you are a customer: Bring your receipt.
I don’t know about you, but going to Horrorbles, making a purchase, attending a movie and bopping next door for a late night dinner at Autre Monde seems like a perfect Halloween season date.
