River Forest resident Vicky Lekovish, executive vice president and owner of Prairie Oak Communications, along with her client, Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park, recently won a 2011 Crystal Award of Distinction in The Communicator Awards.
The award honored the media relations work publicizing a hospital story and news conference about four sisters delivering four babies in four days. Three of the sisters delivered babies at Westlake Hospital with the same doctor. The fourth sister delivered her baby in California.
The story and news conference generated hundreds of placements in media outlets, social media, blogs and websites around the country. The story was covered by Associated Press, Yahoo News, Chicago Tribune, Fox News, MSNBC.com, ABC7, NBC5 and many others. Yahoo featured the clip as its “Top Video Pick” on the Yahoo website.
