Oak Park’s St. Giles School is among more than 300 nationwide named as 2010 National Blue Ribbon Schools. St. Giles, 1034 Linden, is among 50 private schools in the group.
The award recognizes private and public elementary, middle and high schools whose students are high achievers or have made significant progress in closing achievement gaps among disadvantaged and minority students. St. Giles celebrated the honor at a school rally on Sept. 10. All of the honorees will be recognized on Nov. 15-16 at an awards ceremony in Washington D.C.
