Memorial Day Ceremony
Monday, May 27, 11 a.m., Scoville Park
Join us on Memorial Day at Oak Park’s Scoville Park for our traditional ceremony honoring veterans and commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Normandy invasion. The event will feature remarks about D-Day and other WWII landings, as well as recognition of all veterans, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Hosted by Illinois Senate President Don Harmon and Village President Vicki Scaman, the ceremony will include a Color Guard, patriotic singing, Taps, and an invocation and benediction by Army Chaplain Kerstin Hedlund.
