For the first five years of my residency at the Emerson, elevator issues have been frustrating. It was common for one of two elevators to be out of service for a few hours or a day or so.
The past 11 months have been intolerable as we have been serviced by one elevator for eight months. Only three months have we had two elevator service. The east/freight elevator was out of service four months in the fall of 2025. It was down again mid-January to mid-February 2026. Late March 2026 the second elevator went down and remains out of service — 4½ months! This is definitely a safety issue. Response from local management is a shrug of the shoulders and an AI-generated apology. We’ve heard nothing from higher up. Sigh!
